University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa
ABOUT THE EVENT
The faculty of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP), College of Social Sciences, the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa, have unanimously voted to honor Tom Dinell for his many contributions to Planning, Education, the University of Hawaii, and the community during a career spanning 60 years.
Please join us in celebrating the beginnings and growth of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning through five remarkable decades (1970-2017) as we launch our own alumni association, The DURP Ohana, with past and current students, faculty, staff, colleagues, and friends.
Share our exploration of how DURP began and where we are going: past and current community-based projects, plans and policies; and celebrate the scholarships and awards being presented by DURP this year:
· Tom and Kristi Dinell Outstanding DURP Alumni Award ·
· The Planner Who Makes a Difference Award ·
· Scholarships sponsored by APA-Hawaii, SSFM, and DURP
DURP will also be introducing its recently established
Distinguished Chair of Affordable Housing
